Two ways to run Tailwind
Templates support both options. The README in each download shows the exact commands.
CDN (quick previews)
Useful to click through pages or make a small edit without installing anything. Open any HTML file in dist/ or serve the folder with a simple static server. The CDN build is not recommended for production: it ships every utility and generates styles in the browser.
Build setup (recommended)
npm install
npm run dev # watch mode while you edit
npm run build # minified CSS in dist/
The build scans your HTML for the classes you actually use, so the production CSS stays small.
Where the configuration lives
Colours, fonts, spacing and border radius are defined once in the template's Tailwind configuration (see src/). Change them there and every button, link and accent updates together.
Adding Tailwind to another stack
Copy the configuration and the src/ partials into your framework's project, then follow Tailwind's official installation guide for that framework. Class names stay the same.
